Earrings Crafted By Hand Using Ancient Techniques
All of these earring are on solid metal ear wires hand crafted by myself using the oldest of techniques. The wires have been hardened through hammering, the same way smiths hardened their metals two thousand years ago. The wires were shaped using a rounded mandrel style form and then bent and tapped into shape. All sharp edges were meticulously hand filed off and then tested for any edges before the designs were completed. Wire wrapping techniques complete the drops. These same earrings could have been created hundreds of years ago by a savvy jewelry smith. I have used the new round wire look for the extra, artisan feel and kept the prices low to make them affordable by anyone. Contact me for a particular combination of metals and/or stones.
Faceted Citrine Stone and Pearl Green-man Earrings
Artisan style handmade round hoop earrings. A pewter green man charm
drops from the chain's bottom set off by faceted citrine quartz and pale
golden freshwater pearls. A beautiful dangling statement. The
green man can be found carved into churches all over Europe. Churches
built way back in the 6th century display him and he is still in use
today. Citrine is "the success stone" and is believed to bring wealth
and stave of bad luck. Freshwater pearls are believed to offer
protection, money and luck. The green man or "Jack of the Green" is
often placed as a fertility symbol denoting the coming of lush spring
and summer. Who couldn't use a little money, protection and luck? A lovely pair of earrings!

Gods of Sun and Moon Quartz Earrings
Beautiful handmade artisan wire pale green quartz coin earrings with
subtle striations or whiter "webbing". 1 inch in diameter pale green
almost colorless quartz coins represent the moon gods while offering the
metaphysical properties of quartz. A pewter moon charm of about a 1/2
inch dangles in front of the moon in deference to the sun gods. Honor

often is used metaphysically for power, clarity protection and balance.

Irish Claddagh Earrings
The claddagh is a symbol renown throughout Ireland. First produced in the 16th century but some elements date all the way back to Roman times. It is said to stand for love, friendship and loyalty. Total earring length from hook top to claddagh bottom is 2.5". The pewter claddagh is .75 inch long

Artisan Celtic Moonstone Earrings - Snowballs on Triskells
Artisan style handmade earrings with 6 moonstones (with blue flash) dangling from Celtic Triskelions. Beautiful earrings reminiscent of frozen snowballs with a slight blue flash deep in the stones. The triskel appeared in Ireland as far back as 3200 BCE. It can be found depicted in ancient Greece and all across the Celtic lands from Ireland to Scotland and Gaulish regions. It actually seems to pre-date the Celts but was incorporated into their beliefs probably due to it's triple aspect, simplicity and beauty.
Moonstone is said to bring god fortune and passion and enhance intuition. It is known as a woman's stone because of it's lunar ties. It was the stone of the Goddess Diana.
