Renaissance and Medieval Jewelry
The idea of Renaissance and Medieval Jewelry is very popular today. The problem lies in what today's people think of as Medieval style jewelry. While for the sake of fantasy, we'd all like to believe that our ancestors wore Lord of the Rings Elvin styled pieces, that is far from fact. Torcs were popular. Also found have been kilt and cloak pins, arm and wrist cuffs, bulky rings and signets, chains and beads, wire work and weapons. Copper and brass jewelry was a sign of wealth before gold became the staple. Only the truly rich could even consider gold and silver.
With this in mind, I have designed a line of blackened pewter and antiqued German silver chain jewelry that is wired by hand and could possibly have been worn in the ages past. Using real stones and twisted wire I have aged these pieces to look like something discovered in an ancient coffer. Some of the pieces below were composed for a period wedding but there will be more to follow for sale. Each hand made especially for you!

Crystal Fleur de Lis Necklace
18 inch necklace with two strands of crystal drops.
Two strands of smokey crystal drop from a central ring. One strand ends with a fleur de lis while the second strand ends with a smoky crystal teardrop. More high grade crystals run up the chains and onto the neckline. The necklace closes with a lobster claw at the back. In all smokey crystal and silver-toned chain this necklace will match any piece.

My Lady's - Renaissance Ancient Technique Pearl Necklace
The pendant has been completely hand wired using ancient techniques. Composed of creamy freshwater pearls, small rectangles of sunstone, round peach moonstones, clear quartz chips, faceted tangerine Czech crystal, brass filigree balls, and deep melon toned freshwater pearls, this is a lovely one of a kind piece. The entire piece is composed of solid brass and will attain a lovely patina over time or may be polished to remain bright. The chain is 19.5 inches in length and closes with a lobster claw. The length could be extended easily however, just ask.
This is a lovely piece that makes me think of dashing knights and damsels in distress from ages past. In this seasons colors of peach, melon and orange, this gorgeous necklace will match all of today's fashions while evoking the feeling of ages past.

Gothic - Medieval - Red Coral Three Strand Cross
This necklace is adjustable from 18.5 to 21.5 inches in length and closes with a Bali style large lobster claw. It is composed of three strands of red stones.
The first strand is large chunks of rustic red bamboo coral individually wired and set off by pewter bead caps. The second strand is composed of Asian shaped bamboo coral tubes interspersed with small Italian glass seed beads so that it will flow nicely. The third and final strand is made up of round red magnesite beads and small bamboo coral nuggets, spaced with pewter daisies.
The necklace's focal is an ancient style stone cross of red magnesite. The whole piece has a great Medieval feel. With it's ancient Gothic flair, and deep red tones this would also be a great piece for a Goth or Vampire look.

This necklace is an amazing deep royal blue color. The stones are howlite, magnesite, spider web jasper and faceted blue chalcedony quartz. The front couple of inches are strung beads working into individually wired beads up the neckline. The chain is adjustable from 19.5 to 22.5 inches in length and closes with a giant Bali style lobster claw closure. The unique combination of stringing, wire and chain with faceted crystal give this piece an almost Victorian flair while still being trendy.

An ancient heraldic lion rampant pendant of an inch and a half in length is the focal of this lovely necklace. In Scotland's colors of Red and Gold or deep Thistle purple, the chain is 19.5 inches in length and closes with a beautiful hammered toggle. Pewter bead caps finish this heraldic piece.

Ancient Spiral Quartz Necklace
A hammered ancient spiral is set as the focal point of this neutral toned necklace. 4 round, white, rainbow moonstones drop from above the spiral. The chain alternates with hematite stones and faceted natural quartz stones. The quartz in this piece have all been matched in pairs by size and inclusion colors. The inclusions on this piece give the quartz a darkened smokey look. Quartz with inclusions like these are often called Lodolite. Lodolite quartz is often used by metaphysical healers for the boost of energy that the various inclusions add when paired with the quartz itself.The spiral is one of the most ancient symbols known to man and can be found world wide carved and painted onto stone walls. A sinuous circular dragon pendant set off with 4 aurora, fire polished, black Czech crystals grace this necklace. I chose these dragon medallions as they had more of a Welsh feel than some that I've seen. The chain is 23 inches in length ending with a hammered toggle. The dragon medallion is 1.25 inches in diameter.

Two Gorgeous Triquetra (Celtic Knot) Necklaces
Two Celtic necklaces - choose your color, one in brecciated red jasper
and one in golden pressed amber. These necklaces are extremely
beautiful. The camera was not even close in picking up all of the
colors of these lovely pieces. These two pieces are on a hand crafted
23 inch long chain. The focal triquetra portion of each necklace drops
an additional three inches. All of the jump rings in these pieces were
made by hand by myself meticulously. Both chains close with a twisted
toggle that has a Celtic flair.

A lovely necklace for the winter season. This large focal
pendant of a very pale green striated quartz reminds me of jack frost
painting on your window panes. The pendant is semi transparent with
whiter veins running evenly though out the stone. Four tiny faceted mint
crystals dangle above the focal. The front chain is hand twisted of surgical steel with handmade jump rings. The chain at the back is nearly weightless solid aluminum. Here is a red rustic stone cross created with ancient wire working
techniques. Hand made jump rings connect rustic red slices of coral to
faceted red Czech crystal rondells creating a decorative chain of over
25 inches in length. The necklace fastens at the back with a large
hammered toggle. The cross focal at the front is a solid red magnesite
stone and measures at just over 1 /4" Any monk of years past would have treasured this wonderful piece.
